Applied Motion is pleased to announce the addition of an encoder option to our IP65 rated stepping motors. We accomplish an IP65 rating of the encoder by enclosing it in a metal cover with an integrated o-ring for added protection. This provides the necessary protection to meet industry standard IP65 requirements. Both the motor and encoder leads have cable glands for seal tight protection. All in all, these features contribute to an excellent design where protection of the motor and encoder are of paramount concern.

Key features include a nickel plated brass cable gland, sealed laminations and shaft contact seal, the motors are available in size NEMA 23, 24 and 34 providing holding torque from 1,1 Nm to 8,8 Nm.

Motion control is easy with the ST controller series offering many control possibilities, from basic pulse and direction control to multi-tasking software with electronic gearing concepts, conditional programming, complex maths functions and microstep emulation up to 51200 step/rev.
